Quote Of The Day – Jules Verne
You can’t call yourself a nerd and not be familiar with the works of Jules Verne (1828 – 1905); a French novelist, poet and playwright who wrote a number of highly imaginative adventure novels for their time, was often referred to as the “Father of Science Fiction” and one of the founders of the genre (along with H.G. Wells and Mary Shelley and a few others).
He is best known for writing Journey to the Center of the Earth, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, and Around The World in Eighty Days. Verne also holds the distinction of being the second most translated author in the world since 1979, ranking between Agatha Christie and William Shakespeare.
