Quote Of The Day – Agatha Christie

Today’s quote comes from a Dame: Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie (September 15,  1890 – January 12, 1976), who was a British crime novelist (66 detective novels), short story writer (14 short story collections) and playwright (The Mousetrap). She created such notable characters as Inspector Hercule Poiroit, Jane Marple and Harley Quin.

Her most famous books include Murder on the Orient Express, And Then There Were None, and Death on the Nile. Most of her books were adapted for television, radio, video games and comics, and more than thirty feature films are based on her work.

She was made a Dame in 1971 for her contribution to literature. Which is no wonder because she wrote the world’s longest running play (The Mousetrap), and The Guinness Book of World Records credits Christie as the best-selling novelist of all time, with roughly 2 billion copies sold.
