Quote Of The Day – Voltaire

Today’s Quote Of The Day comes from Voltaire, (born François-Marie Arouet in Paris), considered one of France’s greatest Enlightenment writers. He was also a poet, playwright, historian, philosopher and known for his sharp wit and outspoken attacks on the establishment, especially the Catholic Church. He was also an advocate of freedom of religion and expression, and tolerance. He is perhaps best known for his satirical novella Candide and the dramatic tragedies Oedipus and Zaire.

In the wake of recent events at the Capitol Building, this quote is particularly relevant today.
